Oseltamivir:

​

  • <9 months: 3 mg/kg/dose PO BID

 

  • 9-12 months: 3.5 mg/kg/dose PO BID

​

  • >/= 1year: <15kg: 30 mg PO BID

 

  • 15-23 kg: 45 mg PO BID

 

  • 23-40 kg: 45 mg PO BID

 

  • >40 kg: 75 mg PO BID¹⁰

Duration of Therapy & Clinical Pearls

Treatment should ideally begin within 48 hours of symptoms onset. Can consider initiation of therapy after 48 hours for patients with severe illness, hospitalized patients, immunocompromised patients, or those at risk for complications.
