S. pneumoniae, H. influenzae
Polymyxin-trimethoprim ophthalmic solution 1 drop to affected eye every 6 hours OR
Erythromycin 0.5% ophthalmic ointment every 6 hours⁴

Vast majority of cases of conjunctivitis are viral or allergic, consider the following findings to increase suspicion for bacterial conjunctivitis: Copious purulent, or mucopurulent discharge with associated hyperemia of the conjunctiva and lid crusting.⁴

7-10 days
